wskrsnwings - Surprise! I visited the nest this morning hoping to see one or both of the E's branch again. E17 did, but not until after I returned home. I will be at the nest again tomorrow morning. 67 day old E17 & E18 were awake with the morning breezes, spreading their huge wings out and getting great lift as they went back & forth to the rails. They picked up nest 'treasures' with their beaks and feet as they moved about the nest. Harriet delivered a curved stick to the nest and both E's worked on placement. "Don't get too close" beak discussions occurred as E17 flew over E18 several times. The E's are almost adult size now, weighing 7-8 lbs. with a wingspan of around 6 ft. Thank you SWFEC, hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for providing & maintaining suitable trees & environment for this Bald Eagle Family. www.SWFLEagleCam.com Thank you to Dick Pritchett Real Estate (SWFEC), Church of the Nazarene, Eagle Landing & several friends for allowing me to film on their premises.
