Lady Hawk - Harriet and M are on the nest - M is eating the cattle egret Harriet brought in earlier today and he offer bites to Harriet who feeds E14. They are such a great team! Harriet will fly to the attic and M continues to feed E14 until full. Later, Harriet flies in with a huge catfish! She stands on the side of the nest afterwards and we see closeups of it. The catfish has whiskers or barbels on its face. Each barbel is loaded with tiny taste buds and special olfactory sensors to help the fish smell. Catfish tend to live in dark, murky waters where their vision isn't very useful. Barbels help the fish search out food using their senses of touch and taste. Harriet saves this catfish for supper! Thank you for watching! Video captured & edited by Lady Hawk Thank you SWFEC , hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for allowing us the opportunity to view these amazing eagles.
